This week we have joined THRIVE’s Rogue Valley Local Foods online market. Once you sign up, you can order from HappyDirt or other local farms and food producers, and have your order delivered to a local pick-up point. It is free to register as a customer, and Oregon Trail cards are accepted. There is no obligation–you are free to buy as much or as little as you wish each week. Home delivery is also available for a small fee to many areas. Check it out at http://www.localfoodmarketplace.com/roguevalley/
Our selection of available veggies will vary each week. This week we have 16 items: Arugula, turnips, 2 types of carrots, kale, collards, bell and Italian frying peppers, jalapenos, serranos, baby and full size heirloom potatoes, mizuna, radishes, chard, and butternut squash.
We think that this will be a convenient and economical way to provide outstanding veggies to the hungry masses while the local growers markets are closed. We anticipate that we will have an ongoing selection of produce through the winter, as our newly constructed hoophouses start yielding.
If you are a restaurant or have a need for larger quantities, we offer wholesale prices with a minimum order of $40.
P.S. Our blog site is under construction… we’ll be posting pictures ASAP!
So happy to hear the good news!
